GAEU Ventures invests in cleantech company FineCell

GAEU Ventures has co-invested with KIRAM AB and EIT InnoEnergy in a new issue of the cleantech company FineCell. The money will be used for further market penetration and to further validate the scalability of the company's production process.

FineCell offers sustainable cellulosic ceramic fibres to help manufacturers make new products with reduced carbon footprints and differentiated properties. The technology is based on several years of cutting-edge research conducted at KTH. FineCell's technology is patented in Sweden, with patents pending across global geographies.

"This is an exciting time at FineCell! We are incredibly grateful to have these passionate new partners join us. Together, we will be able to do something really meaningful for our environment and make an impact," comments FineCell CEO Jonatan Henschen.

"After following FineCell for some time, the decision to get involved was an easy one. The company has developed a unique technology with great market potential. In addition, we are very impressed by the dedication of the team", says Olof Carlstoft, Investment Manager at GAEU Ventures.
